Walhalla Ice Road 2 Filming

Walhalla was converted to look like a Nepali village, with dirt covering the bitumen road.

Fire station converted to a shop. Anne Camier, who worked in Nepal, translated the sign script as “Paypal Hardware”!

Great excitement in the tourism industry as filming with Liam Neeson was carried out over several weeks in January 2024. Some of the crew stayed at Mountain Rivers Tourist Park during this time.

The chalets is very well looked after and easily accommodated 4 adults and our 4 year old son. The tourist park was a great central base for exploring the surrounding towns of Walhalla and Erica - if you happen to visit Erica we highly recommend the "1914" cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
